Ian Pons Jewell’s latest commercial for Squarespace feels like something which might have appeared in a film based on a Philip K Dick novel written before the existence of the internet... it has a dystopian vibe as it runs through all of the stuff that it's now possible to sell online. It suggests that everything can be packaged and sold, and that each of us has the capacity to become an entrepreneur.

As always, Pons Jewell injects the film with humour as well as fluidity, and it feels like something which will strike a chord with the target audience... the young people who are going to have to spend their whole careers finding side hustles as there isn't going to be enough conventional work to go around.

The ad looks at buying and selling from both sides of the transaction though, so even if you don't picture yourself as one of the bright young things offering your goods and services, you may be able to picture yourself as one of the equally bright young things buying them.
